Teen Ministry
A variety of activities are provided for Teens to participate in at New Life.
Teen Activities
In addition to participating in church wide activities like the Labor Day Picnic and Fall Festival,
the teens enjoy other activities planned exclusively them. We have had retreats, a luau, a lock-in,
and scavenger hunts to name a few. We have a great group who loves to get together and have fun!
Sunday School
The Teen Sunday School class is taught by Dustin and Alise Hampton. This class is going through the
Home Bible Study curriculum that our church distributes as
a ministry. The goal in this class is for teens to learn how to study the Bible, use it to answer
questions they have, and apply Biblical principles to their lives. The stronger their ability to use
God’s Word is, the more productive they can be as witnesses and servants of Christ.
Wednesday W.A.L.K.
On Wednesday nights, the Teens get together for the W.A.L.K (Worshipping a Loving King). It is taught by
Kevin and Jill Daves. In this class, teens discuss Christian character and are taught keys to living a
fruitful, Christ-lead life. We work on projects for our Print Shop
and Prison ministries on occasion, and hope to involve them in
future service/ministry projects. We also play games, do Bible trivia, laugh, and have a good time!
Youth Sunday
Several times a year, New Life Baptist Church designates a particular Sunday as Youth Sunday. On these Sundays, the teens and children teach
classes, take the offering, sing, make announcements, share the Missions Moment, and take charge of many
other duties in the church. The pastor also calls on a young preacher to bring the Sunday morning message.
